Hello again!

So the other day I randomly stumbled upon Xanga again, and as you may/may not know, it was really great to read my old entries again! All the good memories came flooding back. I have now made a couple of my entries public to highlight some of the randomness that was high school. I updated about daily for like 2 years, so 90% are on private because even I don't wanna read through all that crap.

Other than that, I've got nothing to say.

-----------------------------Something bad happened

The disabled the entries I made public's comments so that no one could write new comments. After I had done this I saw that it didn't show the old comments either, which is what made the entries great. So then I enabled it again, and now I find they deleted all the comments from those entries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate xanga

well, i'm bored, so I'll do danny's quiz thing =p

3 names you go by
1. Linda
2. Linda
3. Linda?

3 names you've been called

2. on dad's side something like german, dutch and french in long gone generations
3. on mom's grandmother was english

3 things that scare you
1. dying young
2. not finding 'the one' and being 30 and not married with no plans on getting married either
3. Being forced to go to work for long hours due to financial reasons if there are young kids in the picture. You gotta spend time with them, even if it means not having so much money!! Thank you BBC stupid reality tv show for cementing this in my brain!

3 of your everyday essentials
1. music. music. MUSICA!
2. contrary to popular belief I actually prefer not having internet (given there is somethingn else to do)

3. My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You

3 new things you want to try in the next 12 months

Let's seeeeee........update time? I remember a time that I wrote something almost every day. No matter how trivial it was. Good times But now nothing happens!! At least a whole bunch of you uni folk are coming to visit us chillin' people. We are just chilling after all. The calm before the storm. Southern Hemisphere 4 eva lolzzz!!!!!11  ^____^

On that note, let me get this out of my system: I can't wait for uni! I can't wait for uni! I can't wait for uni!!!!! I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. FOR. UNIVERSITY. !!!!!.

I'm actually quite nervous about it. I'm excited, but I remember when I was there this past summer I was kinda glad I was coming back with my parents. It's kinda scary having to go live there on your own with nobody. And I have to cook and wash and iron and I don't know hoooooooow..........yet ;)  So back then I was glad that I could come back to the safety and security of my parental home. But yes, can't sit and do nothing for the rest of my life! So it's more a feeling of.....hesitant anticipation =p

But before that it's christmas, but it's kinda pointless here. In SA we'd be on summer holidays at the sea!!! We'd give out presents on christmas eve (after a long, hot day on the beach), have the big christmas dinner then, and then on christmas morning you'd go to a church thing (They had this outdoor service for the holiday makers. It was so beautiful....under these trees with all the birds singing and hearing the waves and smelling nature. You'd feel so close to nature. It was really magical  ) But yes! After the service you'd run back as fast as you can to put on your swimsuit and then off to the beach you'd go again! And in the evening you'd go buy an ice cream at about 5, and sit and eat it while waiting for the dolphins who came by each afternoon. And see who can spot a whale first! Hmmm, and back then I was too young for beach parties, but they happen every so often as well. Young people =p

Hmmm...that was kinda pointless, but now at least you can now say you know how a lot of SAns spend christmas hahahaaa.

So yes......now its your turn to write something pointless like me! And hey! At least I updated!

:: UPDATE :: As a little bonus, the internet gives you:

Sooooo...thanks Chris and David and their Parents for hosting another incredibly successful Awali Party! I once again laughed way too much! Movies with running commentary is something we should do more often =p

Anyway, here's some of the pics I took.  ( ImageShack)

(Might take a while to load, esp the GIF's at the end...patience)

Faaiza striking a pose! I can sure be glad I finally caught this rare occurance on camera!

Faaiza looking in the direction of her family. David not looking pleased.

Bite the Night.

Roy bit the night.

Sole Survivor.

.....

Customary Awali Walk with reflective shoes. Too bad I was too busy taking pics to take note of the directions of roads in Awali.

Spurting water....cool pic, but it doesn't look pleasant

Random: Everybody's 2 favourite movie midgets, Furby and Gollum! Now combined!

Small tribute to Star Wars.

Make sure to also notice the guy flying by in the background.

Bonus: Gay Spiderman dancing.

Bonus Bonus: Darth Vader Sound Clips: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~frog1/wavs/vader.htm

This chick is weird, and her music is even stranger, but i absolutely loooove this song. It's beautiful

So I guess now I have to write an entry lol. Well, I got invited to go out with the women from my work tonight. I politely declined, seeing as they are all in their 30/40/50's. Not that I have anything against those particular age groups, but I'm not gonna go have a party with people my parent's age. I can see you all nodding in agreement. Well, there's that issue, and then the other issue that they are the type who get dru...ehhh, tipsy, and then go clubbing afterwards. Which is completely different and alien from the society I grew up in. Women above 40 do not go and wag around their drunk asses in the neon lights to the sounds of Nelly. Frankly, the mere thought of that freaks me out. Screw political correctness and equality for all: that is just wrong! >.<
